Wolverhampton Primary Care Trust chooses Lexacom’s Digital Dictation Software

Wolverhampton City Primary Care Trust has selected Lexacom to provide digital dictation software to its entire GP practice network which serves over 238,000 patients. The new contract will see Lexacom installed in 39 GP practices in the area, with over 300 doctors and secretaries set to benefit from using the software.

Wolverhampton PCT is strongly committed to improving patient care through better use of technology. Having assessed the benefits of digital dictation, Lexacom was chosen due to its intuitive software, excellent customer service and value for money.

Darren Pandaal, IM&T and QIPP Project Manager, Wolverhampton PCT said “making best use of technology which can help GP practices operate more effectively and offer a better service to patients is a key priority for this PCT”.

Lexacom’s digital dictation software enables immediate and accurate dictation and transcription, improving practice efficiency and patient care. The software allows doctors to record and mark the urgency of dictations easily, while secretaries benefit from high quality sound recording and can manage their workload more effectively, knowing instantly which dictations are urgent or routine.

Lexacom’s latest software, Lexacom 3, has been designed to make doctors’ lives even easier by offering improved integration with clinical systems, reporting functions which enable referrals to be tracked and audited, and secure mobile working so dictations can be done anytime, anywhere – even while on home visits.
