The Scottish National Users’ Group (SNUG) Virtual Conference and AGM is taking place on Tuesday, November 23.
Lexacom’s Head of Primary Care, Simon Brady, will be attending the conference. He’ll be running a workshop in the afternoon. Titled “Lexacom, Saving GPs time with Lexacom Echo speech recognition”
What is SNUG Virtual Conference and AGM?
The SNUG Virtual Conference and AGM is a continuation of the previous virtual conferences, brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The organisers wanted to further share the latest learning opportunities with attendees, on the benefits, challenges, and use of IT in GP practices.
That is why Simon Brady, Lexacom’s Head of Primary Care is attending. He will be showcasing, demonstrating, and discussing all elements of our professional-grade time-saving technology.
This includes our speech recognition platform, Lexacom Echo, and our market-leading digital dictation software, Lexacom 3.
What is SNUG?
The Scottish National Users’ Group (SNUG) is an independent user-led organisation.
The aim of the group is to improve patient care through the improved use of information technology (GPIT, as it is called).
It is supported by SCIMP and NHS National Services Scotland.
Lexacom has worked over several years with SNUG and our GPIT technology is fully embedded with the two principal clinical systems, EMIS and Vision, that the Scottish Health Boards use.
What is the agenda for the conference?
The conference and AGM agenda cover a wide range of topics. There are plenary sessions on Digital Prescribing, and Primary Care Data & Intelligence. Plus workshops on Social Media in Practices, Multi-disciplinary Primary Care, and our own workshop on Saving GPs time.
The conference starts at 9am with a Welcome and Introduction by Dr. David Cooper, Co-Chair of SNUG. It concludes at 5pm, after the AGM part of the conference.
