Forestside Medical Practice runs a busy practice which is based across two different locations. As their patient list grows, Practice Manager Julie Stewart has come to find managing her team who use different clerical systems at each location more and more difficult.

Julie wanted to streamline their workflow system so that she can manage her team of six Secretaries and their workload more efficiently.  After previous demonstrations to understand how Lexacom 3 works, Julie knew that this software would be the ideal solution to help them re-structure their workflow management.

“Deciding to start using Lexacom 3 was definitely the right decision for us at Forestside.  We have been able to re-organise the way our GPs and Secretaries work, they now work the same way as one team together.  We have a more seamless way of working, which started immediately by removing the need to transport paperwork and tapes to each of our locations,” Julie Stewart.

Using Lexacom 3, Julie can now run the management side of the Practice more efficiently, by being able carry our audits of their work and monitor the work levels using the Management and Reporting module on the Lexacom 3 software.

Forestside have 10 GPs as well as Locums based across their two locations and in the short time the Practice has been using Lexacom 3, both the GPs and Secretaries are able to see what work is being created, what is completed and what needs prioritising on particularly busy days.

We are also able to be confident of patient safety as the details from our patients which are taken from our EMIS web system are transferred correctly onto our templates through the Lexacom software.” Julie Continues;
