Lexacom wins public tender to provide digital dictation to Moray Council
After a competitive public tender process, Moray Council has selected Lexacom to provide digital dictation and workflow software to its in-house legal team. The five-year contract directly supports the council’s objectives to improve efficiency, accuracy and flexible working.
Lexacom was assessed against a number of competitors and was found to offer the most cost effective and technically proficient solution.
Gordon Chisholm, Senior ICT Officer, Moray Council, said:
“We were impressed with the range of services and technical capability offered by Lexacom, as well as how easy their software is to use. Lexacom also provided the most cost effective solution and we are looking forward to using their digital dictation software.”
In line with its objectives to improve efficiency and become more “paperlight”, Moray Council was looking for an advanced digital dictation system with options to track workload, integrate voice recognition and enable access from multiple locations.
Lexacom software has been designed to make recording and transcribing documents as easy, accurate and efficient as possible. With secure cloud technology enabling multi-site access, and fully encrypted data sharing, the Moray team will have the freedom to work from home or on the move using the Lexacom Mobile apps for smartphones and tablets.
Workload and productivity will be tracked using the integrated management and reporting features within Lexacom software, enabling the team to publish reports and audit outputs.
Lexacom Digital Dictation will also enable the council to make use of secure outsourced transcription services when needed, such as during holidays or peak periods.
Andrew Whiteley, Managing Director, Lexacom, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this tender following thorough assessment against our competitors. We are looking forward to working with the council’s in house legal department over the coming months.”
This deal is the latest in a number of new contracts secured by Lexacom both in the UK and overseas. With the recent launch of Lexacom Australia, as well as new opportunities in the Middle East, the Oxfordshire-based company is expanding its customer-base, building on its market-leading position in primary healthcare.
