Users of Lexacom are divided into groups called Pools.
A pool is a group of users that perform similar work in a workflow – e.g. a particular typing pool, or a group of authors. Users in the same pool will usually see the same jobs in their Review tab. If the users are authors they will be able to create jobs on the same workflows.
A Team will have multiple pools – usually at least one for each category, though a team may have multiple pools of the same category (e.g. a team may have several pools with of the transcriber category, for groups of typists with different responsibilities).
All users of Lexacom must be a member of one of their team’s pools. Members of a pool may be changed in the Pools page in Lexacom Portal.
Pools are assigned to workflow steps, and in general members of the pool can see the work on that workflow step in their Review grid. Many pools can be assigned to the same step, if needed, and team owners & admins can choose which pools are assigned to workflow steps through Lexacom Portal.
(Some workflow steps may be marked as ‘Author only’. The jobs on a step marked Author Only will be visible only to the original author of the job, and not to other users in their pool.)
